Our Process
Step 1
Inspection
Clean Edge painting experts will examine every square inch of the surface being painted. We factor in Clatsop County climate exposure, texture of the surface, and potential problems areas. Getting an inspection can save money down the road since we can identify trouble spots ahead of time, not after the paint is peeling in 5 years.
Pressure Washing
There’s dirt, debris, and dead bugs embedded into the sides or walls of a home that you might not see with the plain eye. Pressure washing creates a perfectly clean canvas giving the fresh start the surface needs.
Step 2
Filling
We’ll check for rogue nails and patch any holes in the drywall. To ensure a clean edge, we’ll put up painter’s tape around windows, walls, and light switches. For extra protection, we’ll put down plastic or blankets to protect your floor and carpet.
Sanding
Sanding is done to whittle down any imperfections on the surface of the wall, giving it the grit needed to absorb the paint. Without sanding, paint can be uneven and not as dynamic as the color you’d expect. This can also get rid of old paint from the walls to start your project from scratch
Step 3
Priming
Priming the walls provides a nice layer of climate protection and prevents common paint problems like peeling and cracking. The temperature and humidity must be managed to get the perfect prime layer.
Painting
The wall, siding, or deck comes to life with the first layer of paint. We’ll be sure to explain how many coats of paint are needed and the time needed to let each coat dry for optimal finish.
Step 4
Finishing
The actual “finishing touch” is put on with a choice of epoxy, sealed concrete, acetone, etching, stain work, or acrylics.
Cleanup
We’ll remove all cloths, buckets, and painting materials we needed to protect the interior or exterior of your home. Clean Edge will leave your Tillamook County home as clean as we found it with absolutely no mess for you to clean up
